Bio:
Dave
Rounsaville is
a unique entertainer and gifted musician, whose performances
offer a musical celebration...a journey into the tradition and
spectrum of what music has been, can be, and will become. Born
and raised in rural Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Dave’s
childhood was rich with classic American values and
traditions...many which he has incorporated into his performance
repertoires. He credits his musical influences to the legacies
of Peter Yarrow, Odetta, Tom Rush, John Denver, Rick Nelson.
Dave comments, “To perform the songs that touch people is one
of the greatest joys of my life and, to live my life through
song, gives people a glimpse of the person I am.”
A
veteran of the arts, Dave has performed nationally and
internationally since the mid-sixties. His venues have included
TV, radio, indoor & outdoor concerts, festivals,
coffeehouses, restaurants, clubs, schools, banquets, weddings,
private parties and church programs. Dave displayed then, as he
does today, an uncanny knack for finding wonderful songs that
span genres and generations. It is a testimony to the
universality of his appeal that his songs have been folk hits,
classic rock, gospel, blues, and everything in between.
Today, Dave still resides in Hunterdon County, close to
the farm on which he was raised. He enjoys his life long hobby
of designing and constructing model airplanes for competitions,
nationally and internationally...as well as his undying passion
for collecting guitars and playing his music. He does what he
loves, and what audiences love him for: his singing and guitar
playing...passionately...knitting together the musical
traditions and talents of our times
